Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions set out how Syleane sells and delivers its products to you when you shop on our website. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1.1 These terms apply to all purchases of products made on the Syleane website, whether you are shopping in your own name or on behalf of someone else.
1.2 By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
1.3 If we need to update these terms, we will publish the new version on this page. The version in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

3. Orders & contract formation
3.1 Your order is an offer to buy products from Syleane. We are not obliged to accept your order.
3.2 The contract between you and us is formed when we send you an order confirmation email, not when you add items to your basket or start the checkout.
3.3 We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if:
- the product is out of stock or no longer available;
- we cannot obtain authorization for your payment;
- there is an obvious error in the price or description;
- shipping to your country is not available or restricted.
3.4 If we cancel your order, we will refund any amounts already paid for the products concerned.
4. Prices, taxes & payment
4.1 Product prices are shown on the website and include or exclude taxes depending on your location. Any delivery costs and applicable duties will be shown during checkout where possible.
4.2 We may change prices at any time. The price you pay will be the price displayed at checkout when you place your order.
4.3 We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time you place your order or when your order is confirmed, depending on the payment provider.
4.4 If your payment fails or is reversed after we have shipped your order, we may:
- contact you and ask you to provide another valid payment method; and/or
- temporarily suspend or cancel your account with us.
5. Delivery
5.1 Delivery options, estimated timeframes and costs are displayed during checkout and on our Shipping page.
5.2 We will send you a confirmation once your order has been dispatched, including tracking information whenever available.
5.3 We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as customs checks, strikes or carrier issues. In such cases we will try to keep you informed and work with the carrier to minimise the delay.
5.4 The products become your responsibility from the time they are delivered to the address you gave us. You become the owner once full payment has been received.
6. Returns, cancellations & warranty
6.1 Your right to cancel and return your order, and the process to follow, are set out in detail on our Returns page.
6.2 As a general rule, you may have a limited period from the date of delivery to change your mind and return your order, provided the jewellery is unworn, in its original packaging and in resaleable condition. Please check our Returns page for the exact timeframes and conditions.
6.3 For hygiene and safety reasons, some items (for example certain earrings) or personalised / engraved products may not be eligible for return unless they are faulty.
6.4 Syleane jewellery is covered by our limited warranty as described on the Warranty page. This covers manufacturing defects but does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, lack of care or normal wear and tear.
7. Products & materials
7.1 We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and measurements are accurate. However, small variations may occur, especially for handcrafted pieces and natural gemstones.
7.2 Colours may vary slightly depending on your device screen and settings. Such variations do not constitute a defect.

8. Our responsibility to you
8.1 We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage you suffer that is caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
8.2 We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses (such as loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity).
8.3 We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
9. Website use & intellectual property
9.1 All content on the Syleane website – including images, logos, designs, text, graphics and software – is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
9.2 You may browse the site and print or download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, distribute, modify or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
9.3 You must not misuse the website by knowingly introducing viruses or other harmful material, or by attempting to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which it is stored or any connected system.
10. Personal data & privacy
10.1 We use your personal data to process your order, deliver your products, handle returns and provide customer care.

10.3 By placing an order or creating an account, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
11. Offers, gift cards & promotions
11.1 From time to time we may run special offers, discounts or promotions. Each offer may be subject to additional specific terms (for example minimum spend, validity dates, exclusions) which will be stated at the time of the promotion.
11.2 Unless stated otherwise, promotions:
- cannot be used in combination with other offers or discounts;
- do not apply to gift cards or delivery costs; and
- are valid only for purchases made on the Syleane website.
11.3 We reserve the right to modify or withdraw any promotion at any time where this is necessary, for example in the event of obvious error or misuse.
12. Changes, transfer & applicable law
12.1 We may update these terms from time to time. Please check this page regularly to see the current version. The version displayed at checkout when you place your order will apply to that order.
12.2 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation where this does not affect your rights under the contract.
12.3 These terms are governed by the laws of France. You and we both agree that the courts of Lille will have non-exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.
