How Syleane jewellery is made

Every Syleane piece follows a slow, thoughtful path – from the first sketch on paper to the moment it catches the light on your skin. Follow the journey of your jewellery, step by step.

  1. 01 The design process

    From inspiration to first sketch

Syleane collections are inspired by everyday light, architecture, vintage pieces and the women around us. Moodboards, textures and colours are explored before each design is sketched by hand, refined, and curated into a coherent story.

Only a small selection of ideas make it to the final line-up – every piece is chosen for how it layers, stacks and lives with the rest of your jewellery wardrobe.

  2. 02 Creating CADs

    Bringing sketches into 3D

Once a design is approved, it becomes a detailed technical drawing: every curve, prong and stone size is specified. These drawings are translated into 3D CAD models so we can view the piece from every angle and refine proportions for comfort and balance.

Multiple rounds of feedback ensure that the piece feels as beautiful to wear as it looks on screen.

  3. 03 Making a mould

    Creating the master shape

The final CAD is printed and used to create a master model. From this, a resilient rubber mould is formed – this mould becomes the reference for every future piece in that style.

Using a single master mould keeps details consistent: stone settings, engraving areas and curves remain true to the original design.

  4. 04 The wax tree

    Preparing for casting

Liquid wax is injected into the mould to create a series of identical wax versions of the design. These are carefully positioned on a wax "tree" that will later be transformed into solid metal.

Each branch of the tree is arranged to optimise metal flow and reduce waste during casting.

  5. 05 Casting & filing

    Turning wax into metal

The wax tree is encased in a heat-resistant material and melted away, leaving a perfect cavity. Recycled metals are then poured in, forming a new metal tree full of Syleane designs ready to be cut, filed and refined by hand.

Any excess metal from trimming and filing is collected to be melted and reused in future pieces.

  6. 06 Assembling & setting

    Dressing each piece by hand

Components are soldered together, links are joined and clasps are attached. Stones are individually set by hand, and any enamel or coloured details are added with carefully mixed shades chosen for Syleane.

This is where your piece gains its final character – from the way a hoop curves to how a pendant sits against the skin.

  7. 07 Plating & polishing

    Building a luminous finish

Depending on the design, each piece is prepared for plating and dipped in 18k gold or finished in bright sterling silver tones. The thickness of the plating is chosen to balance radiance, durability and comfort for everyday wear.

A final polish softens edges, brings out the shine and ensures that every surface feels smooth against the skin.

  8. 08 Quality & journey to you

    Checks, care and gift-ready details

Every piece passes through several quality checks: stones, clasps, proportions and finishes are examined one last time. Your jewellery is then placed into Syleane packaging – designed to protect each piece and feel like a small ceremony when you open it.

Care cards and size guides are included to help you keep your Syleane jewellery shining for years.
